Scientist, Organic Chemistry

Job Description


The primary role will be to develop chemical processes for clinical and commercial manufacturing in the Manufacturing Process Chemistry group. The work is highly collaborative and requires good communication skills and a desire to be part of a team.

  • Responsible for development of robust, well understood processes.
  • Design of synthesis, identification of key process parameters and relevant in-process controls, understanding origins of process impurities and their controls, mechanistic studies of reactions, when needed, and isolation of products.
  • Assist with technology transfer to contract organizations and support of ongoing manufacturing.

Duration: 6 months plus contract

Job Requirements



  • Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry


  • Strong knowledge of modern synthetic organic chemistry
  • Experience in chemical process development is a plus, especially transition metal catalysis
  • Productive hands-on lab performer
  • Published work in peer reviewed scientific journals


  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team
  • The ability to multi-task
  • Excellent organizational skills
