PSYCHOLOGIST - ECC

Job Description

Renders outpatient clinical services, and diagnostic evaluation services to children, adolescents, and families.  Is a member of a clinical team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses and child developmental specialists.



Willing to consider Post-Doctoral Psychology Resident Level.

Full Time, Part Time and Fee-For-Service available!

Job Requirements

  • Educational Requirements:  Ph.D. or  Psy. D. candidate from clinical psychology APA approved program.
  • Licensure Requirements: Psychologist license from the State of Connecticut is preferred.  Post-doctoral level psychologists will also be considered..
  • Experience Level: Must have significant clinical experience with populations served by the Village, and specialization desirable.
  • Specific Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements: Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.  Test and measurement, diagnostic expertise, and administrative skills. Must be proficient in administration, scoring, interpretation and integration of psychological evaluation tools including IQ/achievement, personality (objective and projective, including Rorschach, Exner method), and behavioral measures.  Specialization in neuropsychological evaluations, autism spectrum evaluations, or other advanced testing skills highly desirable. 
  • Personal Characteristics:  Ability to be a good team player and leader, to demonstrate flexibility in approach to job and others, to be insightful, self-reflecting, and aware of impact on others, to be patient and empathic, to show good judgment in pressured situations. 
  • Cultural Competency:  Familiarity, sensitivity, and/or experience working with diverse populations; Bilingual/bicultural (Spanish) skills required.
  • Physical Abilities: Physically able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.  These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the abilities to function safely in a therapeutic situation including provision of services in clients’ homes or host settings.
