Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (GAI)

This position consists of repairing and maintaining all production and facility equipment, new equipment installations, and maintaining established preventative maintenance programs.

The qualified candidate will be a full journeyman in Machine Repair, Plant Mechanic, or Millright, must be proficient in reading mechanical prints, pneumatic schematics, and hydraulic schematics, proficient in pipe fitting skills if air, water, hydraulics, and must have good attendance record. Must be flexible in working hours in case of an emergency break down. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: •Repair and maintain high speed production equipment •Practice safe work habits. Follows proper lock out tag out procedures as required. Completes all OSHA required training as required and corrects any unsafe conditions as necessary. •Responds to calls from line supervisors or operators to repair equipment as needed. •Performs package change-overs on equipment as required. •Schedule preventative maintenance on equipment as required. •Installing/Rebuilding equipment. •Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical problems in a timely manner. •Will assume additional responsibilities as required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: •High School diploma or GED required. •Minimum of 3-5 years in related field or proven industry experience, beverage industry experience a plus. •Ability to read schematics. •PLC experience a plus. •Knowledgeable on OSHA laws. •Strong analytical skills. •Computer proficient in all Microsoft Office programs. Knowledge of MP2 software a plus. •Must be able to work in hot humid climates. •May be required to lift up to 50lbs or more with assistance, and push or pull with a dolly up to 500lbs with assistance •Able to be on feet walking or standing up to 9.5 hours per day. •On call when plant is in operation. •Team Player.
