Position:                    Commissioning Technician ( Electrical )

Title:                           Electrical Commissioning Technician

Hiring Manager:        Discipline Director of Commissioning ( Electrical )

Reporting Manager:  Discipline Director of Commissioning ( Electrical )

Qualifications:           Min. AAS in Electrical Engineering or Design

Electrical trade or apprenticeship certification

Min. 2 years of Electrical engineering / commissioning experience

Min. 1 year mission critical design / commissioning experience

US Citizen preferred

Government security clearance or ability/willingness to apply for one

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Strong networking skills within the industry

Experienced using Microsoft Word, Excel and AutoCAD

Willing to travel

Willing to undergo drug testing and credit history check as required for specific projects

Responsibility:          The Electrical Commissioning Technician has responsibility for performance and achievement of the following goals

Duties:                        The Electrical Commissioning Technician has responsibility for executing the following duties:

n  Set behavior example consistent with the Corporate Goals and Values

n  Assure administrative policies and procedures are followed

n  Participate in departmental mentoring activities, including participation in Professional Development Plans

n  Interact with company engineering and design staff

Exhibit technical qualities

n  Identify technical issues to be addressed by the department

n  Participate in technical investigation, research and evaluation activities of the department

n  Participate in the quality control process

n  Act as resource in resolution of specific technical issues

                                    Participate in management of departmental staff resources

n  Execute project assignments

n  Assist in fulfillment of deliverables as appropriate

n  Assist with management of external resources

Support departmental process improvement initiatives

n  Identify and define process improvement needs and deliverables

n  Assist and/or lead in content creation, evaluation, documentation

Field                            The Electrical Commissioning Technician has responsibility for

Responsibilities:       executing the following field duties:

n  Participate in commissioning projects which may include a variety of complex features.

n  Participate in daily commissioning activity meetings.

n  Interface with project contractors, vendors, and testing technicians. 

n  Compile testing procedure results.

n  Perform engineering design reviews, prepare commissioning test procedures and reports, direct client-site testing and manage the training of on-site staff.
