 Description Summary:

Research and investigate the design, functionality and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in engineering required. Previous engineering experience required.

Skills and Competencies:

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports. Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines and other mechanical devices. Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals to determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects. Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using tools, equipment or software.


Job Description:

The engineer who will fill in this job open will support client engine product development and improvements and CPI issues by performing CFD thermal analysis/conjugate heat transfer, multi-phase/spray simulation and virtual validation. The responsibilities in clude, performing necessary analysis and initiating ideas; evaluating new products, processes or systems; communicating results to customers, suppliers, team members; supporting other engineers; providing best actionable recommendations and solutions.

 Mandatory skill set and experience:

The candidate should have Bachelor's degree in mechanical Engineering or related engineering field. At least 1 year industrial experie nce in CFD simulation. Strong initiative, communication skills, customer focus, teamwork, and planning skills and be able to manage multiple projects concurrently. The candidate must have experience in thermal-fluids simulation, preferably with engine exhaust and aftertreatment systems. Experience in performing multi-phase spray simulation, Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI), and aero-acoustics is desirable. The candidate should be proficient in FLUENT, ANSA, TGrid, Hypermesh, and NX CAE.

Qualification

Master or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field; Two or more years of industrial experience in thermal management, heat transfer, multi-phase flow, FSI, engine aftertreatment, and solidification/melting simulation using Fluent. Experience in Flow Bench testing a plus. Proe skills sufficient for model preparation for meshing and making small changes to model for iterative designs
