Our 25 facilities, including joint ventures, are strategically located throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. Steel Technologies produces precision flat rolled steel for customers in a variety of steel consuming industries including automotive, appliance, lawn and garden, office equipment, agricultural, machinery, construction, hardware and consumer goods.

Our company began operation in 1971 and is headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky. In 2007 Steel Technologies Inc. merged with Mitsui & Co (U.S.A), Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsui & Co.,Ltd. In 2010 Steel Technologies LLC was formed by parent companies Mitsui USA and Nucor.
