Ten years ago, the founders of The Evergreen Center set out to create an integrated learning and living environment where students with severe developmental disabilities could achieve their maximum potential.
The Center believes it is essential to build skills in the areas of communication, self-care and social interaction to successfully place students in less restrictive environments and enhance their quality of life.
Today, Evergreen students live in local communities, supported by a caring staff. Each day they ride buses to and from school, and in their free time they shop, bank, dine, exercise and socialize in the community. The Evergreen Center has helped students achieve their maximum potential and has brought them closer to their family home.
