For the past several years, PAM Transport has been recognized as one of America's most successful and profitable truckload carriers. Recently, PAM was recognized as one of the best 200 small companies in the country by a leading financial publication. And while we're big enough to offer a secure future, we're not so big that you'll get lost in the shuffle. PAM Transport is currently looking to hire more truck drivers along our major freight lanes.
PAM Transport is an irregular route, common carrier, which means we haul just about anything anyone wants to ship on a truck - except refrigerated products. While we are authorized in 48 states and Canada, our primary routes are in the Midwest, Southeast, and the East Coast. Our customers include several Fortune 500 companies. About 90% of our loads are 'drop and hook' and don't require drivers to assist in the loading/unloading of the trailer.
Job Description
Truck Drivers for PAM Transport are some of the most well-known in the trucking industry, all because they are a constant presence on the nation's highways. Our truck drivers deliver everything from automotive parts to cosmetics, and our customers put their faith and trust in our ability to deliver their products safely and efficiently. In order to accomplish this, our truck drivers have a variety of responsibilities including basic equipment maintenance and inspection, logging, trip planning, map reading, and overall safe truck driving.
Because we have a great reputation in the trucking industry, we hire truck drivers that can uphold our safety and quality standards. This requires our truck drivers to be able to recognize deficient items during their pre-trip inspection that may cause a safety concern or prevent the timely delivery of our customer's goods due to a break down. Additionally, our truck drivers must be continually aware of their surroundings and have the ability to perform numerous tasks to successfully operate the tractor-trailer in a safe and legal manner.
