Overview

Methodist Rehabilitation Hospital is joint-venture acute rehabilitation facility scheduled for completion in December 2007.

The 40-bed hospital is built on 5 acres of land currently owned by Methodist Health System adjacent to Methodist Charlton Medical Center at 3020 W. Wheatland Road in south Dallas County. The 48,000 square foot facility will include a therapeutic pool, therapy gym with the latest in rehabilitative equipment, therapy courtyard, indoor and outdoor dining and recreational areas, “activities of daily living” training suites, and an 8-bed Traumatic Brain Injury Unit.

Methodist Rehabilitation Hospital will serve as an important transitional service for Methodist’s patients’ continued rehabilitation and recovery as well as offer rehabilitation services for the surrounding communities. The new facility is expected to open in early 2008.
