Administrative Assistant / Office Clerk

Job Description

A Salt Lake City, UT company is looking for an Administrative Assistant for a temporary to full-time opportunity.  This is a great opportunity to prove your skills to a terrific company and get started immediately.  Job duties may include, but are not limited to:

Description

  • Fielding telephone calls, answering 4+ lines at any given time
  • Receiving and directing company visitors
  • Word processing, filing and faxing
  • Internet research and utilization of search engines
  • Regular communication with both internal and external customers
  • Other duties as assigned  
  • Use high-level skills in the performance of secretarial support and operational/supervisory support functions.

  • Supervise other clerical staff.

  • Aid executive by coordinating office services, such as personnel, budget preparation and control, housekeeping, records control, and special management studies.

  • Deal with non-routine matters, such as special projects, with minimum specific instructions.

  • Coordinate collection and preparation of time and attendance records, special compensation such as commissions/bonuses, terminations, new hires, transfers, budget expenditures, and statistical records of performance data.

  • Develop, prepare, and manage reports.

  • Coordinate teleconferences, presentations, and meetings.

  • Excellent communication skills and be able to interact with managers in all departments and all levels.

  • Use advanced computer software skills.

Job Requirements

Job requirements include, but are not limited to:

 

  • 1+ year(s) prior work experience in a similar job function
  • Knowledgeable with all MS Office applications, with heavy emphasis on MS Word and MS Excel
  • The ability to function well in a professional office environment
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills
  • An AA/AS in Business or related field is preferred, but not required
  • High School Diploma or higher level completed education
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with some overtime
