BILINGUAL THERAPIST - (Spanish)

Job Description

Bilingual in English / Spanish a must

 

The Staff Therapist is primarily responsible for working collaboratively with bachelor level case managers and family advocates to provide comprehensive treatment services to children, adolescents, and their families.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Provides direct clinical services to clients and their families, including individual, group and family treatment. 
  • Provides case management services as needed, which include but not limited to: Monitoring clients in the Medication Support Service Program and referrals to outside or internal resources, as needed.
  • Collaborates with other professionals both within the agency and outside the agency, as appropriate.
  • Responsible for case documentation, written reports, and correspondence with other agencies involved with the client.

  • Shares responsibilities for on-call emergency consultation and crisis intervention, including after-hours telephone coverage.

  • Attendance at agency staff meetings, case consultations and in-service training.

  • Other duties as assigned by Service Director, within recognized scope of practice.

  • Must meet productivity standards.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ph.D. / Psy. D. or MSW or M.A . /M.S. degree with an emphasis on marriage and family therapy - License or License Eligible
  • Degree must be eligible for registration with Board of Psychology or Behavioral Sciences.
  • If unlicensed, must be eligible to receive "waivered" status from the Department of Mental Health.
  • Experience relevant to working with children and families.
  • Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of evidence-based child and family clinical interventions relevant to families served in community mental health settings.
  • Must develop reasonalbe, appropriate treatment plans and clinical programs to meet the needs of the clients served.
