Job Description

Advanced Veterinary Care Center (AVCC) is a multi-specialty referral veterinary hospital serving referring veterinarians and pet owners throughout Southern California. We also provide emergency care and services 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. Our medical staff consists of board certified specialists in cardiology, internal medicine, oncology, surgery, and a specialist in acupuncture and herbal medicine. We currently administer a rotating internship in small animal medicine-surgery and cardiology residency program. AVCC's mission is to provide high quality, compassionate care to its patients and exceptional service to referring veterinarians and clients.

We are seeking  experienced, dependable and personable customer service oriented Receptionists. We have a full time position for our lawndale office and a part time position in our Woodland Hills office. Do you enjoy working with customers and professionals on a daily basis? Our receptionists work together to greet pet owners, admit  and discharge patients to/from the hospital, prepare charts, enter client information, enter estimated charges, receive and post payments, schedule and confirm appointments, respond to owner inquiries, process referrals, interact with referring veterinarians, staff doctors, specialists and technicians and perform various administrative duties as needed.

Job Requirements

High School graduation required; some college desirable
2-3 years customer service/reception experience required
Previous veterinary hospital experience preferred
Able to work Monday through Friday and weekends, as required
Friendly, outgoing personality with exceptional  communication skills
Customer service oriented
Able to multi-task in fast paced environment
