Position is responsible for activities involved in the calculation of Government rebates and price point computations, developing reporting and analysis of programs for Marketing and Sales area. This entails creating, monitoring, and auditing contract databases as well as analyzing contract performance and compliance for Medicaid, State Supplemental Medicaid and State Pharmaceutical Assistance, Public Health Service, Federal Supply Schedule, Veterans Administration, and Department of Defense programs. It requires a high level of analytical skill, detail orientation, and financial analysis. Effective interpersonal skills to work through problems with sales reps, regional managers, and health systems account managers.
o Develop financial models to support contract negotiations for commercial and government customers.
o Perform extensive analysis of sales, discounts and performance by channel (Institutional, Managed Care, Trade, and Government) to identify opportunities for pricing optimization and maximizing revenue opportunities.
o Interface with IT to manage databases and development of systems as need.
o Develop and implement policies and procedures
o Ensure integrity of database through periodic audits. Develop procedure around audit methodology and timing.
o Maintain database of contract offers to strategic accounts and analyzes incremental sales impact.
o Create reporting to track market share performance of strategic accounts and other accounts that they influence.
o Support the creation of contract proposals by the analysis of volume potential under multiple scenarios.
o Participate in strategy sessions with product marketing on new contracting initiatives. Develop reporting capability to track performance of new programs.
o Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
o 5+ years successful work experience in a financial/analytical role
o CPA and Public accounting experience preferred
o Advanced level of database and MS Excel skill
o Excellent interpersonal skills
