NURSE PRACTITIONER - Dublin Urgent Care

JOB SUMMARY: Nurse Practitioner: Responsible for coordination and management of direct and indirect patient care of children and adults in the Urgent Care setting(s) (Dublin Urgent Care Center). Provide education and evaluation of wellness; provide health promotion, disease prevention information, education and services as well as urgent care of acute infections, minor injuries and illnesses including evaluation, treatment and prescription of medications. In addition to providing the essential functions listed below, may be assigned other duties as required.

APPLICANTS NOT PROCESSING THE REQUIREMENTS BELOW WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED: 
1. Masters Degree in Nursing 2. Possession of a valid, unrestricted California License as a Registered Nurse. 3. Certification by the State of California, Board of Registered Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner. 4. California Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number 5. DEA Registration Number 6. Possession of National Provider Identification (N.P.I.) number. 7. National Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner by either the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). 8. Extensive nursing / nurse practitioner experience in the Emergency Department and/or Urgent Care practice setting. 9. CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) Certification highly desired 10. Current certification in American Heart Association BLS for healthcare provider (basic life support); ACLS (advanced cardiac life support); and PALS (pediatric advanced life support) required. 11. Substantial interpersonal skills necessary to instruct patients and their families and to collaborate with health team members: Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language; Sensitivity to diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. 12. Basic computer skills. Experience with electronic health record highly desired.
