 Description
  • Develop, write, and edit material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publication. 
  • Organize material and completes writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
  • Acquire and organizes basic source material, including applicable specifications, engineering write‑ups, and drawing packages.
  • Observe production, developmental, and experimental activities to determine operating procedure and detail.
  • Help coordinate the layout and manual organization.
  • Arrange for typing, duplication, and distribution of material.
  • Maintain records and files of work and revisions.
  • Interview production and engineering personnel and reads journals, reports, and other material to become familiar with product technologies and production methods.
  • Review manufacturer's and trade catalogs, drawings and other data relative to operation, maintenance, and service of equipment.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
 Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; and two-to-five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  •  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
