Job Description

Mergis Group is seeking individuals with a mortgage underwriting background for a long term contract need in the Twin Cities.


Responsible for handling the most complex quality assurance and review problems and issues. Regularly contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques and standards. Serves as a consultant to management and external spokesperson for the organization on matters relative to policies and procedures. Will perform audit and review of foreclosure packages. Research, analyze and interpret related questions and department procedures. Document responses for audit findings. Review loan documentation and exceptions to ensure compliance with internal company, investor and government requirements. Loans will focus on foreclosure and bankrupt servicing.

Job Requirements

  • Previous mortgage, foreclosure, audit or underwriting experience required
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Detail orientation and problem analysis/resolution abilities
