Services range from distribution center operations and transportation management to highly sophisticated and technology-focused solutions involving product assembly, vendor managed inventory, reverse logistics and repair, manufacturing support, and supply chain consulting.



We are seeking a Lean Project Leader for our 2000+ employee reverse logistics and cell phone repair center in Ft. Worth.

 

 

Lean Project Leader

Individual will serve as a change agent and support the deployment of Lean Six Sigma in New Breed Inc. Operations.  Initial focus will be on operations in the Fort Worth, Texas region.  The individual will serve as a key member of the corporate operations support team.  The LSS Project Leader will support continuous improvement initiatives at sites by coordinating and facilitating LSS projects at selected sites.  The initiatives will impact cost, quality and delivery and reduce business process complexity.  The individual will be a Lean Six Sigma subject matter expert, and rolling out new training curriculum will be a important component of the position.  The person in this role will be handling/administering training, kaizen facilitation and project management and project facilitation.  The Deployment Leader will be interacting with employees at all levels within the business and will deploy initiatives individually and through others.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deploy and champion  Lean Six Sigma across selected sites within the organization.

  • Organize teams and drive improvement projects around problematic or under-performing processes.

  • Serve as a change agent to support culture change and the use of Lean Six Sigma at all levels of the organization.

  • Mentor organization leaders in the use and value of process improvement methodologies.

  • Partner with management teams to assess current processes and identify process improvement opportunities.

  • Generate project ideas and solutions.

  • Implement change within and across departments.

  • Identify and engage talented candidates to become Lean Six Sigma practitioners as Lean Leaders, Kaizen Facilitators, Black Belts and Green Belts.

  • Mentor and develop Black Belts, Green Belts, and Kaizen Facilitators.

  • Provide project team guidance and direction to Black Belts, Green Belts and Project Sponsors.

  • Deliver significant quantifiable operational improvement and financial benefit.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline required.

  • Work Experience: Ten years professional work experience with a minimum of five years experience in utilization of Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Previous experience leading a Lean Six Sigma deployment is preferred.

  • Black Belt or Lean Leader certification required. 

  • Lean Sensei, Lean Master or Master Black Belt training and/or certification a plus.

  • Previous experience leading Value Stream Assessments and Lean Improvement Events (Kaizen events).

  • Distribution and Reverse Logistics Operations experience utilizing batch and continuous processes strongly preferred.

  • Strong leadership skills with ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization.

  • Results and action oriented, organized, ability to deal with ambiguity, good problem-solver.

  • Objective, open-minded, "out-of-the-box" thinker, change agent.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to quickly gain credibility with all levels of management.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Computer skills: statistical software, process mapping/modeling; Prediction modeling tools such as Crystal Ball a plus.

  • Experience improving business processes a plus.
