Job Description

Reporting to the Vice President, Quality and LeanSigma, the LeanSigma Master Blackbelt coordinates and drives our LeanSigma initiatives and is an advanced user, teacher and facilitator of the proper application of Lean and Six Sigma tools. 

The LeanSigma Master Blackbelt is responsible for mentoring and coaching Blackbelts throughout all locations of the organization, supporting Blackbelts and Champions in teaching and mentoring Greenbelts and Lean Technicians, partnering with company leaders and Plant Managers to select and prioritize Blackbelt projects, ensuring that best practices are disseminated throughout the organization and is accountable for the timely completion of projects.

Job Requirements

  • BS in engineering or Management Science
  • Master Blackbelt or minimum Blackbelt certification
  • 3-5 years of Blackbelt experience
  • Lean Manufacturing implementation experience in Cellularization, Lean and Six Sigma tools
  • Extensive project management, team facilitation, leadership and training Six Sigma tools, methods and concepts at the Blackbelt level is required.
  • Process industry experience required, Wire and cable experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively teach, mentor and coach Blackbelts and Champions to achieve business results through Six Sigma projects
  • Expert at LeanSigma tools - knowledge formally tested / demonstrated
  • Implementation experience with >$1MM delivered impact to P&L
