Job Description

Security Clearance: TS/SCI

In order to qualify for this position the candidate needs to meet the minimum S3 Labor Category requirements. The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree; preferably, in the Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related scientific or technical discipline and 10 years of years of direct relevant technical experience. 10 years of additional direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for education.


Interacts with system users to translate their requirements into systems, hardware, and software requirements and design. Participates in the development of test strategies. Solves engineering problems (or managing the solution of engineering problems) in the functional area to which assigned. Provides functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of software systems, including, but not limited to application software, utility software, development software, and diagnostic software. Participates in the development of test strategies, devices, and systems. have the technical background and skills to perform in all phases of software design, development, documentation, and implementation. Ability to design and develop with of advanced networking techniques. Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains standards for software quality operating methods, processes, systems and procedures. Conducts software inspection, testing, verification and validation. Implements software development and maintenance processes and methods. Ensures measures meet acceptable reliability standards. Develops overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to project, process and contract requirements and objectives. Ensures that project and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contract. Reviews software design, change specifications, and plans against contractual and/or process requirements. Reviews include applicable specifications, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies. Performs or directs verification of software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability.

Job Requirements

Systems engineer with experience in Information Technology (Network/System Admin). The candidate should be proficient on Windows Server 2000-2008, SQL Server 2000-2005, VMWare, RedHat Linux, ActiveDirectory, networking equipment, and knowledgeable about the DoD information security standards and the accreditation process. Duties will include maintaining and transitioning servers from Windows 2003 to Windows 2008 environment. Other skills should include MS SharePoint. Previous experience with SIGINT systems is highly desirable.
