My client, a rapidly growing CPA firm in Montgomery County, is seeking a full-time Senior Accountant who demonstrates commitment to excellence. They are committed to assisting in the professional and personal growth of each employee. The selected candidate will be placed on a career development track that could lead to becoming an Accounting Manager, which plays an integral role in the strategic growth of our firm.
The responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include the following:
Supervise and manage a team of accounting staff
Oversee the full accounting cycle of not-for-profit clients on a monthly basis
Audit preparation of not-for-profit organizations
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and payments
Develop and maintain relationships with clients
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
CPA strongly preferred
3+ years of experience working with full accounting cycle
Strong understanding of the accounting nuances of not-for-profit organizations
Knowledge of federal awards desirable
Experience with GreatPlains
Strong interpersonal, supervisory, and customer service skills
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
