Classification: Relationship Manager
Compensation: $55,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
Main responsibilities involve facilitating daily Risk Services products. These services are auction based and are primarily run on CDS and Fixed Income products. Your primary responsibility is assisting traders in the auction process to help ensure maximum participation, efficient/timely auctions and increasing customers overall risk reduction in such products. The role involves a having a firm understanding of the auction processes, customer intentions and technology.
The Auction Manager is required to organize auction details such as who should participate and which products/sectors to focus on. Auction schedules are forecasted weeks in advance with the understanding that the schedule needs to be flexible. This includes communicating with clients traders, their assistants, and middle offices to answer questions about the auction preparation, process, and post-auction process, as well as garnering relevant feedback. Additionally, s/he needs to ensure auctions are successful by comparing results against prior similar auctions.
The role requires a well-organized individual who is able to manage multiple projects and remain focused in an ever changing environment. Candidates with front/middle/back office experience and understand trade workflows are ideal, but this is not a requirement. Should an Auction Manager prove reliable, there will be opportunity to get involved in other projects.
Responsibilities
Provide administrative support for weekly risk reduction auction cycles: create notifications, manage all client correspondence, follow up on queries and administer auction
During auctions, provide first line of support (via Bloomberg and phone) for participating traders Ensure active participation and answer questions
Ability to demonstrate and discuss products while tailoring your relationship to meet client specific requirements
Creation of training materials for new and existing functionality
Liaise with Product Management Team to better technology products
Test software development items to ensure that all requested enhancements work properly and effectively
Support the Sales team in preparation for client visits: collate pertinent feedback, highlight relevant meeting topics and provide analytical accounts of product usage
Manage client feedback, keeping appropriate groups informed of updates/progress
Work collaboratively with global account management teams -- sharing suggestions, best practices, experiences and guidance
Provide on site assistance for demos
Manage user account creation and trading sector access for NY clients
Liaise with the Database team to create or modify reports that monitor different aspects of system usage
Be available to assist other areas of the business as required.

Required Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build rapport and network with clients, as well as internal employees at different levels within the organization, will be paramount in importance.
Ability to balance multiple priorities in a busy and dynamic atmosphere
Proven team player who can seamlessly insert themselves into an existing team environment
Strong analytical and problem solving skills are required
Detail oriented
2+ years financial services experience (preferably in CDS)
Proficient in Excel & Powerpoint
Previous exposure to Markit or Bloomberg is an advantage
