Provides nursing care for patients in the Labor and Delivery Unit and Post Partum Unit (Women’s Services). Documents care given and provides leadership and guidance for subordinates.
Two year experience in Labor and Delivery preferred. Knowledge of general nursing theory and practice. One year of operating room experience preferred.
Must have Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas. CPR and NRP required. Must know fetal monitoring. ACLS required within one year of hire. Provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served. Must pass the NCB (Nurse Career Battery) test to be considered for employment.
Graduate of a state approved school of professional nursing practice. Maintains current licensure in the State of Texas.
