Business Analyst with Mortgage Experience

Classification:  Business Analyst

Compensation:  $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year

•Evaluate and define new technology solutions supporting business processes and working practices
•Help internal and external clients use and understand existing MIS capabilities to solve business problems
•Serve as a liaison between Development, business areas, and clients to effectively communicate and document business and IT information in line with agreed processes and procedures
•Help develop, define, and build technology bias business cases that will enable technology solutions that meet the business needs
•Negotiate solutions to difficult system and business issues using superior customer services skills and thorough knowledge of the Bank's technological goals.
•Serve as a liaison to Client Implementation and Client Relations teams to improve the effectiveness of client technology and associated processes
•Recommend technology solutions to improve business process and decision-making with a focus on the core systems, technology strategies and standards
•Conduct analysis of business issues and challenges as related to current/proposed system capabilities
•Represent Development as a liaison for bank-wide projects and to the Project Management Office, gathering requirements and specifications while accurately representing Development's capabilities and conforming to MIS policy and procedure.
•Translate business requirements into appropriate technical specifications
•Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external clients across all levels of the organization
•Evangelize Development initiatives to internal and external clients while gathering feedback for effective implementation
•Perform other job-related duties and activities as requested
•Develop and support a knowledge management culture within MIS

Additional skills/requirements for the candidate:

•Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. 3-5 years experience as a lead in dealing with clients/users at all levels, including Management
•5 years experience in the mortgage business with a complete and working knowledge of mortgage servicing
•5 years experience in technical support, management role preferred.
•Demonstrable working knowledge of Microsoft development tools, operating systems, and databases.
•Possesses an extensive knowledge of technology and business operations from more than one business sector and understands the significance of fiscal constraints. Thorough knowledge of mortgage servicing systems required, LPS' MSP platform preferred
•Working knowledge of web based technologies, specifically related to security and best practice methodologies
•Excellent understanding of technology life cycles and the concepts and practices required to implement effective information systems
•Ability to work on multiple tasks at any one time while maintaining high quality standards
•Evidence of troubleshooting and solving problems in a highly technical customer focused service environment
•Degree in a Computing/Software/Technology related subject, or equivalent experience
