Collectors make outbound calls and receive inbound calls, to and from customers, to collect on their delinquent accounts. Work on delinquent accounts with a sense of urgency, in an effort to collect and reduce past due inventory, and in an effort to prevent accounts from being assigned to an outside collection agency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Previous experience working in a Collections environment
- Previous Sales experience - a plus
- Previous Telemarketing experience or related
- Previous Call Center experience
- Excellent phone etiquette
- Ability to professionally handle outbound phone calls to request payment for past due accounts
- Ability to overcome customer objections to effectively collect payments
- Knowledge of FDCPA guidelines strongly preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance strongly preferred
