Providence is calling a Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) Nurse to Providence Tarzana Medical Center in Tarzana CA.
We are seeking a Registered Nurse that is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and providing high quality, individualized patient care using the components of the nursing process in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Located on the 2nd floor of the hospital, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a 22 bed unit caring for critically ill Neonatal patients requiring 1:1 or 1:2 care.
In this position you will:
Be accountable and responsible for the delivery of direct care to patients individually and through the assignment and direction of the patient focused care team, utilizing a collaborative patient care management process, meeting established standards of nursing care and integrating other health care team members.
Responds to patients and families with knowledge of age-specific needs based on the standards of care of unit/department where assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Current RN License
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- LA City Fire Card within 90 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Nursing
- National Certification
- 1 yrs experience in NICU setting.
- EKG interpretation and clinical implications course.
- Entry level accepted when training program is offered.
