Job Description

Works as part of team to setup operating rooms and to assist physicians during surgical procedures by passing instruments, holding retractors, etc., under close supervision and according to established procedures.  Specific duties may vary by area assigned.

Job Requirements


Employees MUST obtain their supervisor's signature on the Job Posting and Transfer Request (Form 23), and submit the form to Human Resources within the job posting period, in order to complete the application process.  Form 23 is available from Human Resources or your supervisor.




Education:

  • High school graduate or have a GED certificate preferred

  • Graduate of a School of Operating Room Technicians


Experience:

  • Work requires one to three months training to acquire necessary familiarity with physician's preferences and department policies and procedures.


Licenses / Certifications:


  • Current BLS card required
