Senior Accountant

Job Description

Classification:  Accountant - Senior

Compensation:  $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year

A well established and growing Consumer Products Company located in NYC is currently seeking a Senior Accountant who is Fluent in Mandarin Chinese. In this role, the Senior Accountant must have the ability to multi-task and maintain multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
The responsibilities include participating in the month end close process, prepare monthly journal entries, variance analysis and expense trending.
Prepare various account analysis and reconciliations with supporting documentation and facilitate the process documentation and improvement for departmental functions.
Assist in the preparation of the monthly Management Report required by HQ and support communications activities with HQ regarding policies, finance related issues, projects etc.
Assist in the annual budget compilation and in the monthly forecast preparation.
Have the ability to generate Ad-hoc reports as required by top management and assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support.

Qualifications:
• MUST BE FLUENT IN MANDARIN CHINESE
• 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience; public/ private mix preferred.
• Consumer Products Industry backgrounds are a major plus.
• BA/BS in Accounting Required
• CPA or MBA strongly preferred
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Proficiency of SAP (FICO) module highly preferred.
• Expertise in Excel including Pivot Tables; V-Lookups and Macros.
• A self-starter, takes initiative and highly motivated with a strong attention to detail.
