Oracle DBA
CCCi is seeking an Oracle DBA consultant for a 6 month to perm opportunity with a Fortune 500 best places to work company in Atlanta, GA. Our client offers best in class medical and pension benefits.
The Oracle DBA ensures that proper creation, support, placement, performance and security are in place. Significant coordination is required with developers and infrastructure support groups for operating system upgrades, software upgrades, migrations, and hardware replacements.
Oracle DBA Education / Experience:
-Overall at least 7+ years of experience
-Degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred
-Specific knowledge of DBMS related technologies (specifically Oracle)
-Experience in a fast paced large environment
Oracle DBA Job Requirements:
-Indepth knowledge of Oracle 9i, 10g, and 11g
-Indepth knowledge of Oracle tools / utilities such as RMAN, OEM, DataGuard, and/or Streams
-Indepth knowledge of Oracle RAC (preferred)
-Understanding of typical DBMS SOX controls
-Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux platform including scripting, editors, etc.
-Working knowledge and understanding of software development technologies, methodologies, and associated tools
-Working knowledge of application architectures (Web, Client Server, Batch, etc.)
-Working knowledge of typical IT organization and business units
-Awareness of energy industry trends, opportunities and challenges
-Knowledge of Oracle applications, Oracle Internet Directory, or Oracle Financials/PeopleSoft is a plus
