Description Established intermodal trucking terminal near Joliet, IL. looking for experienced local\regional intermodal truck dispatcher. You are an excellent candidate if you have relevant experience, know how to effectively dispatch owner\operators utilizing a computerized system, manage equipment drop-pools, street-turn equipment for domestic\international reloads, have a strong knowledge regarding DOT safety regulations, basic computer skills, excellent communication skills (drivers, customers, warehouse personnel and co-workers) and you work well with others. Need to be willing to help in all areas of the operation and be available to support drivers after hours and weekends as necessary.

Requirements - Intermodal truck dispatch experience, computer system updating, appointment setting and the handling of customer requests.
- Communicate with customers to understand their daily requirements.
- Participate in on-call, after hours, and weekend rotations based on customers needs.
- Work with sales and management to identify new business opportunities with existing and potential customers in the area.
- Strong knowledge of DOT safety regulations.
- Quick learner with good interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
- Willingess to work hard to promote the terminal.
