Job Description

Position Summary

The Senior Curriculum Coordinator assists the Principal in the educational leadership and administration of the community-based  School.



Position Accountabilities

  

Assisting the Principal, the Senior Curriculum Coordinator is responsible

for the health and safety of the children, families and staff; regulatory compliance and fiscal management while ensuring  the learning environment meets and exceeds standards established by Birch Family Services. As directed by the Principal, s/he communicates with students, staff, families, administration, the New York State Education Department and the New York City Department of Education, as well as other state and local agencies. S/he assumes responsibility as determined by the Principal for emergency, facilities, financial and personnel management; will also assist with curriculum development, program evaluation and design.

  



Job Requirements

Position Qualifications

MA & NYS certification in Special Ed, prior school-age and/or pre-school teaching exp, and SAS/SDA required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; bi-lingual candidates encouraged to apply.
